The Lord Mayor of Frankfurt, Mike Josef, exhibited his adept keepy-up skills while extending a warm welcome to the England team and their supporters ahead of Euro 2024.

In a video alongside the mayors of Cologne and Gelsenkirchen, Josef showcased precise footwork, setting the tone for the upcoming tournament.

England's fixtures include matches against Serbia at the Veltins-Arena, Gelsenkirchen on June 16th, Denmark at the Deutsche Bank Park, Frankfurt on the 20th, and Slovenia at the Rhein Energie Stadion, Cologne on the 25th.

"We are eager to receive England and their fans in the splendid city of Frankfurt," stated Mr. Josef, clad in formal attire, as he effortlessly kept the ball aloft.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan, Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham, and Steve Rotheram, Mayor of the Liverpool City Region, are noted football enthusiasts, though a comparison of skills remains to be seen.

Highlighting Frankfurt's attractions, Josef mentioned a riverside fan zone with a large floating screen for game viewing amidst scenic city vistas.

Josef also introduced Ebbelwoi (Apfulwein), a local drink akin to cider, inviting visitors to savor its taste.

Mayor of Cologne, Henriette Reker, urged both English and Scottish fans to explore cultural sites, including the contemporary art museum, during their stay.

The tournament kicks off with Scotland facing Germany in Munich on June 14th.

Mayor of Gelsenkirchen, Karin Welge, recommended trying the local delicacy, "currywurst" – sausage with curry sauce – to visiting fans.

Meanwhile, the UK's Foreign Office cautions fans about the potency of German beer, advising responsible consumption to avoid stadium entry issues.

Official travel advice emphasizes the importance of valid passports, travel insurance, and purchasing tickets solely from authorized providers to prevent potential legal ramifications.

Furthermore, it advises fans to ensure their mobile phones are charged for electronic ticket validation at stadium entrances, while also considering roaming charges and verifying ticket authenticity.
