Bayern Munich has strengthened their squad by acquiring Michael Olise from Crystal Palace, as announced by the Bundesliga club on Sunday.
The French winger finalized the transfer by agreeing to a long-term contract with Bayern, set to expire in June 2029.
Crystal Palace has agreed to part ways with Olise in exchange for an initial fee of £45 million, with additional add-ons totaling £5 million, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. The deal also includes a sell-on clause.
"I'm very happy to now be playing for such a big club," said Olise on Bayern's official website. "It's a great challenge, and that's exactly what I was looking for. I want to prove myself at this level and play my part in ensuring that we win as many titles as possible with our team in the coming years."
Despite interest from Chelsea and Newcastle, Olise opted for Bayern Munich to work under new head coach Vincent Kompany, BBC Sport's Simon Stone reported.
Olise amassed 90 appearances across all competitions during his three-year stint at Crystal Palace. His standout season saw him contribute 10 goals and six assists in 19 games.
The 22-year-old was selected by France for this summer's Olympics in Paris.
