Everton have finalized the signing of Senegal forward Iliman Ndiaye from Marseille on a five-year contract for a fee reportedly around £15 million.
The 24-year-old moved to Marseille from Sheffield United last summer, where he contributed four goals in 46 games, aiding the team's journey to the Europa League semi-finals.
"He is still young but brings experience at European and international levels, and we believe he will be a positive addition to our squad," stated Everton manager Sean Dyche.
Sheffield United reluctantly accepted an estimated £20 million offer for Ndiaye after his impressive performance, including 14 goals and 11 assists, helping secure promotion from the Championship in the 2022-23 season.
Ndiaye joined Sheffield United from non-league side Boreham Wood in 2019, having previously been associated with the Marseille academy before relocating to Senegal, his father's homeland.
Ndiaye becomes Everton's third summer signing, following winger Jack Harrison's return on a season-long loan from Leeds and midfielder Tim Iroegbunam's permanent transfer from Aston Villa.
"The main reasons I wanted to join were the club's size, history, and the role I can play in its forward progress," said Ndiaye, who has earned 20 international caps.
"I'm very excited. I'll be proud to be part of the final season at Goodison Park," he added.
Kevin Thelwell, Everton's director of football, remarked, "Iliman is a player we've long admired, and we're delighted to bring his sought-after quality to Everton. We believe he will excite the fans and enhance our attacking options."
