Tottenham Hotspur has set its sights on Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke as a key target ahead of the transfer window's closure at the end of the month. The 26-year-old forward is reportedly eager to make the move to a club competing in European competitions to enhance his prospects for the England national team.
Bournemouth, however, is not keen on entertaining offers for Solanke, who is contracted with the club until 2027. The only factor that could compel them to consider a sale is a £65 million release clause, which would allow the former Liverpool player to depart. Solanke enjoyed a productive season last year, netting 21 goals in 42 appearances.
Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou emphasized last week that securing a forward is a primary objective, stating, "It's still the area of the park we're really probably the thinnest." In addition to Solanke, Tottenham is exploring alternative options, including Lille's Jonathan David, and is also open to signing a winger.
The future of Richarlison remains uncertain, with reported interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia. Regardless of whether the Brazilian stays or leaves, Spurs are determined to add another striker to their roster.
Meanwhile, forwards Bryan Gil and Alejo Veliz have been loaned to Girona and Espanyol, respectively, for the season. Young talents Dane Scarlett, Will Lankshear, Jamie Donley, and Mikey Moore are all vying for positions within the squad.
This summer, Spurs have made several additions to their squad, bringing in midfielders Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray, as well as winger Yang Min-hyuk. They have also re-signed striker Timo Werner on a season-long loan from RB Leipzig.
