Manchester United has received a second bid from Fulham for midfielder Scott McTominay, reportedly valued at £20 million. It is expected that United will reject this offer, but McTominay’s future remains uncertain following West Ham's attempt to sign him last summer.
The club is currently looking to raise funds for new signings, exacerbated by injuries to defender Leny Yoro, who is expected to be sidelined for three months, and striker Rasmus Hojlund. As McTominay enters the prime years of his career, he is eager to secure a regular starting position.
Last season, the 27-year-old made 32 appearances in the Premier League for United, although 14 of those came from the bench. Notably, he started in the FA Cup final, where United triumphed over Manchester City at Wembley.
In Wednesday's pre-season match against Real Betis in San Diego, McTominay played in the number 10 role. However, with Bruno Fernandes yet to rejoin the main training group after his participation in Euro 2024, and Mason Mount looking to maintain his fitness, as well as Casemiro remaining with the club amid speculation of a potential move to the Saudi Pro-League, the possibility of a deal for McTominay could materialize.
